On the heels of last week's announcement that Rob Lowe is leaving Brothers & Sisters, it looks like we may be seeing less of one of the show's original cast members.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Calista Flockhart will be working a "reduced schedule" next season, which it speculates may mean 13 episodes as opposed to the full 22.
Though ABC has not confirmed the report, EW suggests Rob Lowe's decision to exit was based on his TV wife's desire to appear less next season.
E!Online is reporting that Flockhart put in a request to work one day a week next season as opposed to the current two to four.
Though ABC is working at reducing the show's budget, it's apparently insisting Flockhart, Sally Field and Rachel Griffiths stay on as series regulars.
E!Online also reports that in addition to writing Rob Lowe's character off the show, producers are looking to kill off another major character come season finale time.
I vote for Rebecca or Ryan Lafferty! If they touch Scotty or Kevin I will boycott the show.
I don't know who to believe, but I sure hope after all these years Rachel Griffiths can finally get thrown a storyline worthy of her talents!
